Student-Atrhlete Profile - Taylor Roop - LPA Girls Varsity Volleyball

AirROOP: Lincoln Park Academy Senior Volleyball Standout Taylor Roop has been an anchor on the Lady Greyhounds Volleyball Team for years!

Experience:   7 Years     GRADE: Grade:       12      GPA:   3.6

Favorite Subject:  Biology - I love learning about the human body.

Who do you look up to?  My Grandmother - She is the strongest person I know and I want to have a perfect family, just like she did. I aspire to be like her one day.

What five-words best describe you?  Loving, selfless, kind, athletic & sweet.

Favorite Professional Athlete:  Simone Biles - She is a strong athlete and has worked hard for everything that she has accomplished. It shows that things are not just given - you have to work for what you want just as she did.

Plans after high school:  After high school, I plan on attending a four-year college/university and study physical sciences.

Top three college choices:  Florida Atlantic, University of South Florida, Florida State University

Why are high school athletics an important part of a students education?  High school athletics are important in a student's overall education because it teaches students teamwork, time management, responsibility, and priorities. They teach things that could not be learned in the classroom.

Why is family involvement an important part of education?  Family involvement is important for a students education because it provides support and students always need an extra push to always know that someone is there for them when they need it.

What has been the highlight of your playing high school sports?  The highlight of the time I've played high school sports is making so many memories and creating strong relationships with my teammates, and being to be able to experience what it is like to be a part of a team - something I will never forget.
